Lingual Braces
What is a Lingual Brace?
Lingual braces are braces that are placed on the inside of your teeth making them virtually invisible to see when you talk or smile. They act in the same way as normal braces but they are more aesthetic whilst your treatment is in progress.
Lingual braces are more commonly referred to as incognito braces and are becoming more popular in the orthodontic world because they make it impossible to tell you are wearing them. They are perfect for anyone who suffers with overcrowding of teeth or anyone with an improper bite (malocclusion). Because they are invisible to see it makes them extremely suitable for anyone who is self conscious about wearing braces. You are also able to easily see the progress of your treatment as your teeth start to move into line. They are placed strategically on the backs of your teeth ensuring maximum comfort for you and making them far less obstructive and making you far more confident.

+ What is the Process?
Following a consulation appointment we will invite you back to take some impressions of your teeth and send them to a labratory where you bespoke brackets will be specifically designed to fit your teeth perfectly. We then require you to have the braces bonded onto your teeth on a separate appointment. A metal wire is then put into the brackets which will guide your teeth into line over time. Periodically you will be required to attend the clinic to have this wire chaged or tightened.
